 Policies and Guidelines
« Thread Started on Jun 27, 2006, 8:34pm »

All Officers & Members: Simple though it may be, we are a family first...kindred....one of the best guidelines to think of first and foremost is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". It is something we have all heard before, but it bears repeating and applies to how we treat each other within the Guild and how we treat others who may be "guests" in a mission or as a "guest" of the Guild.

All Officers & Members: Please remember that within a family we share what we have. No Member should ever be expected to pay for an item offered by another Member. Look at giving your fellow Members what is asked for as a GIFT and not as an OBLIGATION.

All Officers & Members: Please use the Guild Channel conservatively. Always feel free to say "hello" and friendly greetings and to make fellow Members feel welcome - also feel free to ask for help of any kind within the game. Also please remember to not use foul language. However, as our group grows, we need to be mindful that others aren't concerned with matters and discussions going on between one or two other Members. This can be done within the whisper or team channels.

All Officers & Members: Please be mindful that we are representing each other no matter what kind of a mixed group we are in. This means we need to be respectful in speech and manners. Please don't give in to foul language and insults - you certainly aren't representing KKoP integrity when this behavior is displayed. Also, no matter how bad a mission or quest is going or how frustrating a group may be, KKoP stays through until the end. Don't pull out in the middle of a mission and leave others behind, even if they aren't KKoP. It is disrespectful and certainly not noble.

All Officers & Members: Everyone needs to remember that we are all free to speak our minds, but be respectful in doing so. If one doesn't care for how something is done or have any suggestions, please always approach an Officer or the GL, and also feel free to post on the forums for a request for a special meeting if needed. This is a Guild that listens to each Member and is mindful of each other.

All Officers & Members: There is a new option that allows for the Guild cape to be displayed at the discretion of the player. I am simply going to request that each Member remembers that our cape symbolizes KKoP - these are our "team colors" showing our pride in who we are and may attract the attention of potential new members. The only requirement I am going to ask of you is that if we are in a GvG, PvP or a mixed group mission with other Guilds, we display our KKoP cape and wear it proudly. Otherwise, you may use your preference.

All Officers: Whenever a Guild Member asks for help of any kind, an Officer is expected to respond in any way possible - with the answers if the answer is known or with a promise to help look something up, with ready-to-go help for a mission or quest, with money or items if available, and with any requests for the need to express an issue or some other need and then in turn relay this information to the GL. If you are wishing to be considered for the position of Officer, please remember these points. You are being looked at for your merit as an individual willing to lend any sort of help whatsoever, be it leading a team or helping in any other capacity.

All Officers are also required to wear their guild capes at ALL times.

All Officers have the power to give warnings to Members seen not following the guidelines to the best of their integrity as a KKoP Member. If a warning is given, it must be done over the Guild Channel and if the GL is not on at the time, it must be reported to the GL.

All Officers & Members: If you are observed NOT following these policies and guidelines on a consistent basis, you will be given a warning over the Guild Channel by an Officer or by the GL. Since Officers are never guaranteed a permanent spot as Officers, the penalties for all Members and Officers are the same. Everyone in the Guild gets 3 warnings.

All Officers & Members: Once you have received 3 warnings given by an Officer or the GL over the Guild Channel, you will be given the option to plead your case to stay within the Guild to everyone using the Guild Channel. Once you have finished stating your case, the Guild Members will hold a special voting session as to whether or not you should stay within KKoP - this happens immediately. The GL is not eligible to vote, and Members will whisper their "yes" or "no" votes to the GL. If the GL is not on at the time, the Officer who is alphabetically first in the Officer roster online at the time will be the one that will receive the whispers. Once the voting is finished the decision will be held until the GL is next online.

If the votes are in the majority for "no", that Member will be kicked immediately by the GL. If the votes are in the majority for "yes", the Member will be put on a Probation Period of 2 weeks - if an Election occurs while the Member is on Probation, that Member is NOT eligible to vote (a new thread under "Guild Members" will be started stating the Members under Probation and how long those Members are on Probation). If at any time during that 2 weeks the Member is observed acting in a manner that warrants a warning stated over the Guild Channel by an Officer or the GL, the Probated Member will be kicked immediately by the GL. If the Member is able to make it to the end of the 2 weeks, there will be no action taken. However, that Member will now be able to receive only 2 warnings - once that Member receives 2 warnings, there will be no voting, but that Member will be kicked immediately by the GL.

All Members: Everyone is encouraged to participate in the Guild Officer Elections held the second Tuesday of every other month as outlined in the calendar. Please see the Officer Elections Process outlined in the Read First section.

All Officers & Members: Please remember that one of our main goals is to have fun - if you would like to see more Events happen to have fun as a Guild, speak your mind - don't take things so seriously if things aren't going well in a mission or quest - it IS "just a game" after all.
